At FishTips, we’re always listening to feedback from our anglers and guides to improve the platform and provide the best experience for everyone. One insight we’ve learned from many anglers is that tips are often still valid when revisited during the same season in subsequent years. Recognizing this, we’ve developed a new feature to make it easier than ever for guides to ensure their tips stay fresh and valuable for anglers.

Why We Built the Tip Refresh Feature

Over the years, we’ve noticed that anglers frequently reach out to guides to ask whether a tip they’re interested in is still relevant. These messages, while important, can take time away from both anglers and guides. We wanted to solve this challenge by providing a seamless way for guides to verify that their tips are still accurate and worth purchasing.

With the Tip Refresh feature, guides can review their tips that are over 49 weeks old directly in their guide dashboard. They have the option to confirm a tip is still fresh or to update it with additional insights or adjustments. This transparency gives prospective anglers the confidence they need when deciding to make a purchase.

How It Helps Anglers and Guides

For anglers, the benefits are clear:

• Save Time: No more messaging guides to ask if a tip is still valid. The refreshed status gives you peace of mind immediately. You can tell a tip has been refreshed via the 'updated date' on the tip card.
• Added Value: If a guide updates a tip you’ve already purchased, you’ll gain access to the new insights at no additional cost.

How It Works

Refreshing a tip is simple. Any tip older than 49 weeks will appear in your guide dashboard under the "Tips" section. From there, you can:

1. Review the Tip: Check whether the information is still accurate for the current season.
2. Confirm or Update: Either confirm the tip is fresh as-is or make updates with new details or adjustments.
3. Add a Note: Share what has been updated or why the tip is still relevant—giving anglers even more confidence in their purchase.

Once refreshed, the tip’s updated status will be visible to anglers, ensuring they know it’s worth their investment.
