The Columbia River is a premier smallmouth fishery on the west coast. I fished the BAM Pro Tour out of Boardman, Oregon and had 35 scoreable smallmouths on my first day with 16 1/2 lbs and 20+ smallies on second day for 18lbs. Caught 16.35lbs on day three for a 6th place finish! My tip is a Columbia River fishing report plus a strategic game plan on how you can get on this bite too with three techniques, two patterns, and nice spots that I have dialed in! This strategies in this tip are generally in play between mid-July and mid-September or whenever the water temperatures start really cooling down.
