Friends of the Refuge - Mississippi River Pools 7 & 8
Smallmouth Bass
Conventional Artificial Bait
Posted 3 months ago
Research shows that bass, especially smallmouth will ritually use the same fall/wintering holes year after year. And this one is an absolute hammer hole. With this waypoint, you can expect to find some of the BEST quality smallmouth bass that pool 8 on the Mississippi River has to offer. Last fall/winter, I was able to have an average of 3.75-4lb smallmouth almost every time I would hit the water. This spot is great for picking up 1 to 2 baits and sticking fish majority of the day. You won’t have to junk fish here. I will provide this waypoint, along with a description of the bottom composition, type of cover and the most successful baits that will help ensure your success on that space of water. This spot is expandable, but I cannot give away all my secrets. So feel free to look at my other waypoints and/or expand on the water yourself. Those fish may be closer than you think😎
