Boat Positioning: Parallel the bank with your boat. When you are paralleling the bank your bait is in the strike zone the entire cast, 100% of the cast. When you are adjacent off the bank your bait is in the strike zone for only 5% of the cast. 100% is a better percentage than 5% and I promise you will get 20 times the results.
Casting Accuracy: The bait needs to be within 1 foot of the sea walls and the rocks, not 2 feet, not 3 feet... The closer to the wall the better, 1 foot off the wall or less! Work the bait with some speed and erratic action.
Cover water fast: Put the trolling motor on at least 75% to 100% and cover water quick! There are miles and miles of quality rock they get on, the more water you cover, the more fish you'll catch!
Attitude: Don't get discouraged if you've hit a few of these areas with little or no success keep going. I will often hit one or two walls and not catch any and then pull up to another wall and catch 4 or 5.
Bait Selection: I prefer 3 hook treble top water baits like a super spook, 6th sense cat walk, ima little stik. A Fluke will also crush them. Work the baits with moderate to fast speed! Chrome or shiny when it's sunny, when its cloudy use pearl or bone colors.
