The herring spawn at lake Murray is one of my favorite times to catch fish. Once many fish are done spawning, the herring begin to work into the shallows. That is where these big and hungry post spawners meet large schools of herring often causing ferocious schooling. And even without schooling, bass are always still on these spots ready for their next meal.
