CA Delta Pre Pre-Spawn Feb-late March One of my favorite times to fish the CA Delta is right now. The bite is not wide open, however when you find them, they are big, want to eat, and it is the best time of the year to catch that fish of a lifetime. Bait selection and approach is very simple this time of year. Current weather conditions are great for February lows are in the mid 40’s and the daytime highs are in the mid-60s. Water temps have been steady climbing each morning. The watercolor in most of the system is anywhere from 12-18 inches. Right now, and for the next 30 days bait selections are very very simple
