Brief Description

We just wrapped up making the day three cut for the 2024 Toyota Northern Division at the St. Lawrence River. August can typically be a challenging month there, but targeting only big bites helped get me to the final day cut. I caught multiple 5.5-6.25 lb fish throughout the week by targeting big bites solely. In this tip, I give some key areas and baits to catch bigger than average fish in the St. Lawrence River during the dog days.
